One of the first and most
famous restaurants in Segovia. It's probably
the most important Cooking
School of the region. Many well-known personalities
have visited our establishment: Polititians, actors
and actresses, music stars, writers...
The restaurant was founded
in 1939 by Mr. Mariano del Pozo Manso. Mr. Ireneo
Álvarez Gómez, his nephew, who was his
collaborator from the beggining, was his successor.
In 1990, after Mr. Ireneo decease, his sons, Juan
Carlos and Javier
Álvarez Gómez got in charge of
the restaurant, giving to it a a dynamic and innovator
personality that nowadays defines it , with a perfect
mix between the typical
cooking of Spain and Castilla and a moder
way of cooking.
